This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Chicagoland’s top competitive baseball & softball programs. In 2020 we will be
adding Softball and we are planning to roster an Americans and a Nationals team for each of the age groups, (9U-13U), if the
sufficient amount of qualified talent is identified for each age level. The roster size will range from 11 to 15 players per team,
and each roster spot is open to all interested players from any school district. D1 Prime teams compete in the Spring as well as the Fall, and your son or daughter is welcome to elect to play either season, or both seasons.
Our Independent professional coaches will conduct the player evaluations at tryouts. These professional coaches will evaluate each player’s talent based solely on the team’s needs with no political bias for one player over another. After the team selection process has been completed, our coaching staff will focus on player development. The goals of our trainers and coaches are to prepare each individual player to compete against premier level competition, and to prepare each player to have their best chance at being selected to play at the high school level and beyond.
Since this training is a process, and the players evolve over time, the expectations are lighter at the younger levels and the commitment increases as they advance in age towards high school. Training consists of indoor winter training with professional instruction, which typically begins in December in our training facility and it runs through March. The indoor training includes hitting, fielding, and pitching skills refinement, as well as baseball specific strength/ conditioning instruction. The regular season games begin in April, and the season ends in July. Regular season league games are played locally within Chicagoland. Although, some of the older age groups may also have an out of town tournament that will require a hotel stay. For example, this year’s 2019/2020 teams at the 11 & 12U levels chose to participate in the Ripken tournament experience in Pigeon Forge, TN.
Players must try out and be selected in order to participate in the D1 Prime’s Travel program. Tryouts are held annually in late June
and early July. Tryout information on teams, times and locations will be updated on this page closer to summer, so please continue to check for updates on times and locations. Openings are LIMITED, so advanced registration is strongly advised. The registration link is now active, and we look forward to receiving your player’s submission.
In the meantime, for additional information about our program, or, if you aren’t able to attend our tryouts, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If your player is selected to a team, roster spots will be secured with a non-refundable $750 deposit, which will be expected within 48 hours of the offer, and the remainder of the fees will then be paid over a prorated schedule which will be completed prior to the first practice.
